For land-line telephony, Fayetteville is served by AT&T and all national long distance carriers. Lincoln County has an extensive fiber optic network in place. Verizon Wireless is the area’s primary mobile telephone service provider, and signal strength is good throughout Lincoln County thanks to plentiful cellular towers.
In addition, at the Fayetteville campus of Motlow State Community College, a state-of-the-art videoconferencing/multimedia room allows commercial concerns to communicate with other offices, customers, or suppliers. Fayetteville also has two local internet providers with broadband internet access at up to 1.0 Mbps download bandwidth. Fayetteville also has many computer vendors from which to choose.

Utilities
Fayetteville/Lincoln County residents and businesses enjoy some of the lowest utility rates in the nation. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) provides wholesale electrical power, while East Tennessee Natural Gas is the wholesale supplier to FPU. In addition to primary electric and natural gas power, the county is served by three suppliers of fuel oil and six liquid propane providers. FPU also administers water and sewage control, and derives its water supply from the Elk River, which flows through Fayetteville, and can easily accommodate most any industrial need. Utility rates can be calculated easily for any industrial application by contacting our office. For more information about FPU, visit www.fpu-tn.com.
